Mental Health

Youth who come to Emmaus House have endured unimaginable trauma- death of a parent, abandonment, abuse of all kids, and extreme poverty- leaving many of them unable to trust, connect, and experience hope. Emmaus House employs two Haitian therapists and offers weekly counseling services to all our youth to ensure they have the resources to build resilience and health from their past trauma

Making an Impact

True healing goes far beyond physical shelter. We believe that emotional and mental well-being is the foundation upon which our youth build their futures. Guided by our dedicated on-staff psychologists and counselors, our mental health program offers a safe, non-judgmental space for youth to process trauma, build emotional resilience, and heal. Through personalized one-on-one therapy sessions and supportive group counseling, we walk alongside each young person as they navigate their unique journey toward inner peace, self-worth, and lasting stability.
