Sports Program

The Sports Ministry Program provides sports opportunities to the youth at Emmaus House as well as youth in the community. Both a basketball court and soccer field are currently on Emmaus House’s campus. Staff and local coaches host games, tournaments, and camps year-round. During vacation months, youth participate in a running club and take frequent trips to work out at a local beach.

Making an Impact

At Emmaus House, sports are more than just a game, they are a pathway to teamwork, discipline, and vibrant community connection. Our campus stays ready with energy, friendly competition, and incredible community support.

Consistent Action on the Field
Our youth are always moving and developing their skills with a packed monthly athletic calendar:
Football: 4 matches hosted per month.
Basketball: 6 to 8 matches played per month.

Structured for Growth

To balance education and athletic development, our sports schedule is intentionally designed around the school year:
Dedicated Training: Youth participate in a structured 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM afternoon block during school months, ensuring they have the routine and consistency needed to thrive both in the classroom and on the court.
A Hub for Community Engagement
Our friendly matches ("match amikal") do more than just build athletic skills, they bring the entire neighborhood together:
Packed Stands: Our games draw an average of 175–215 community members per event.
Record-Breaking Support: During our peak spring cycles (April/May), our audience sizes surged to 318–338 passionate attendees cheering on our youth from the sidelines.
